I'm really sorry if this has been discussed else where on the forum, i can't find any similar topics...

With the K20D/K200D launch imminent and the SRP's being set by Pentax, it seems that the new cameras will be about £100 more than the Samsung equivalents, is this to much?

I discussed with Pentax and I personally think, as a shopper, i wouldn't pay more than £50, even if i was a reaaaall big fan of the more expensive brand.

Their answer was 'The K10D was £100 more than the GX10 and it done ok!'

Personally, i think this is also wrong, this time round they will have way more people looking at there products, more reviews and more comparisons between the two new cameras.

So, i thought i would come to the 'horses mouth' as it were and ask the people who it matters to most

(Again if this has been talked about somewhere else or i'm annoying you please just ignore/delete my thread!!)

How could you tell?

Nikon D70 x2, Fuji S5 + a few prime lenses is my main kit.

However, if someone part-exchanged a Pentax 43/1.9 in black it would be comming straight home with me ...

My Apologies, i quickly changed it after reading your post, as i said in my post please give SRS a call, i didn't want them to think from my post that they were also £869.99 (Flipside - alot of dealers have also dropped there price and i wish to be competivie as possible - Since then, i have also have had the GX20 pricing through...)

As for your negative stance towards me, its understandable, you have a favorite dealer/forum member and it looks like I'm trying to barge in on his 'turf', please don't assume i knew that SRS was a member of the forum and that I'm trying to invade (I should of done more research before butting my nose in :lol If i was aware SRS was a member or heavily involved in the community, i wouldn't of advertised nor would've started posting.

So, please shop at your local / favorite dealer keep it close to the independents as possible - get a good deal and get good service.
