cheers Dave...it's a case of the cheaper the better. Had a set of cactus triggers before. Awesome kit, just can't justify the price at the minute. On a shoestring these days

....the cheaper the better

Only really need one transmitter and one receiver at the moment, but any more would be considered. It's to be used manually so no ttl required

thanks

Paul

Isn't it up to the individual to determine how they produce their images?
Of course it is. I was just stating my opinion, apologies for not making that clear in my post.

I'm a firm believer that you have a good or bad photo even before you press the shutter. Lighting, subject and composition make or break a photo wayyy before sharpness comes into the equation (this is all in my humble, non-expert opinion of-course).

It's worrying that a lot of people think they can take a rather dull, uninteresting image, throw it at a piece of software and a masterpiece will come out the other end, although that is more aimed at the overuse of HDR software.

It's sooo easy to get sucked into finding the sharpest lenses available, which is akind to searching for the holy grail...it will always be just out of reach (more commonly referred to as Lens Buying Addiction!!!). It can become a compulsion that overtakes everything else, i've been there myself and you can get too hung up on "that shot isn't sharp enough, therefore it's rubbish", when in fact it might be more than adequate.

Photoshop does help, but as has been said, it should only really be used to give a final spit and polish (unless you are doing mono conversions etc).

There is absolutely nothing wrong with wanting to upgrade your lenses, but it shouldn't come at the expense of enjoying your photography.
