That strange light is caused by tree branches and leaf and street lights. There was a hidden place .. looks like burning or something. The shooting is a bit lighter than reality. It isn't edited.

I'm interesed in your 30 second expousure photos only if appears northern lights in .. I'm just curiously how it look. I can't shoot something because I'm not around. 30 seconds the stars often began to get blurry? ..hmm.. i don't know, you may not focalised it well or something .. is pretty hard to focalize in darkness .. but your also your argument such good.
I also use a k-30 Pentax ( forgot to say in first comment) and 18-135mm lenses. Yours what kind of lenses have?

Hello. I tried something alike to shoot in night with no flash with a tripod, exposure time 30 second, f4.0, iso 400( now i will deviate from the topic little) .. and nobody tells me before how.. it was such own find http://www.pentaxforums.com/gallery/images/62198/1_7.jpg

Well, I watching your photos and and I saw you used expousure time 20-25 seconds .. I'm curious why you didn't try with 30 seconds as time expousure ..it may looks interesting .. or you did and no photo here?
