What time lapse from the first shot to the last on your original set? A grey sky as a target?
I would need a controlled target and lighting to bother to even attempt this 'test'. Won't happen in the next few days or month perhaps, but I will get around to doing this.
The aperture was set by the dial on the camera, so it's just the time to change it, probably 1/2 sec. between shots. Point the camera North to avoid the sun. Tomorrow is forecast to be sunny, so a clear blue sky is about the same value as a grey card.

Edit: Should be OK indoors with a tungsten light on a white wall.

Can you give me the test process please so I can try it myself? I wonder how a manufacturer programs the output of a sensor if it does not have any aperture info to work from when using an all manual lens such a K series?
Just repeat the test in this post. It's very simple. Constant shutter speed, just close down aperture in 1/3rd or 1/2 stops for each shot. Read RGB value from each in any editor.
See when the RGB starts to get darker.

What this boils down to is that if you are using a handheld meter and a lens wider than f/2 take the meter reading for f/2 and use that to set the camera. Then use f/2 f/1.7 f/1.4 or f/1.2 and they will all be exposed the same.

This was one of the threads. I can't see much point in discussing it again it was quite long winded

I have seen similar claims before, but no satisfactory proof that such a phenomenon exists. If we let more light in, how can a sensor or film not see it?
It was quite well covered by a thread on here a few months back. Sorry that I haven't got a link. It's easy enough to test and prove with an f/1.4 or f/1.2 lens. Some manufactures fiddle the ISO setting to compensate.

Not sure if it's still there, but there used to be a
Morgans 50p Store in Liverpool. Actually had better
stuff than the £1 shops

Edit: Seems inflation finally caught up with them and
they moved to a new shop called "All for One" link

I doubt they would make a (D)FA version of the 50 f/1.2, the current AF module would struggle too much I think. They do however still sell new A series versions on the Japanese market , would make a nice bundle.
Because digital sensors only see about f/1.8 regardless of how wide the lens is, they could make an f/1.0 if they wanted as long as they think suckers will buy it

These camera reviews are getting dafter and dafter
That's the first time I've ever seen anyone mark down a camera for
only having ONE Storage Slot

It's like saying don't buy that pair of trousers because they
only have three pockets

Check the terms and conditions relating to web orders. Most companies state that you haven't entered a contract until they actually dispatch the item.
Not very nice but since Kodak got stung a few years back it seems to be standard practice.
