Have you seen the Mauritius balancing rock?

Another from Chillagoe, angles were difficult so were the kids
I`m truly amazed that no one has pushed this over, it stands about 30 feet or so and I have seen photos of it with a man standing against it from the late 1800s

Would have liked to go back in better light.

Took the two Grandkids (school holidays ) to remote Chillagoe where they do tours of the limestone caves
Here is a couple of shots , taken using light from the caves internal lighting no tripod and some high ISO

Lucky we had a pool at the camp ground as temps of 34c on the outside.

Love the framing that makes a complete circle of foliage, it makes it more intimate looking, like a private scene. What do you edit with? It's personal preference but a vingette to darken the foliage areas would help draw the eye in and make the waterfall area pop more. As said, it's personal preference and lovely as is
Thanks Gareth and others who made comment
I use Lightroom 5 and paintshop pro 7 to play with images.

Them thingies swingin' in the vines!

Don - do crocs get up into the Atherton tablelands, or are they 'safe'?
It's the ones with two legs that swing a stick with a phone on the end
As for crocs, there's old ones like me but generally no although a couple have been sighted 30k north of us but possible escapes from a croc farm, but safe yes

Probably one of the most photographed falls on the Atherton tablelands, lucky to get this shot with no peoples

Sadly lacking flow as we are experiencing a lack of rain.

It`s good that people are passionate and keep history alive, a lot of hard work going on in the tractor pull and it shows.

Might be different for you but you got it right, hard work with kids but good fun by the looks, the second from last says it all `Happy Birthday`
