Wintergate

by KatieW

Taken yesterday on the east side of Pen Y Ghent, Yorks Dales. Couldn't believe the amount of snow up there, 3ft drifts etc. It was like entering an untouched winter wonderland, as we were the only people around! Took a few of these and still pondering whether to have converted to b/w but think I like its character.

Super shot, Katie. I really like this...don't you think it's similar in concept to my effort in this gallery today?

Thanks so much everyone, those are great comments - I am so appreciative of any feedback - and it was certainly cold up there - I'm learning that a flask of tea permanently in the boot of the car is a must! The light was quite flat for much of the day so I was pleased to get something.
Andrew - yes I thought it was very coincidental when I saw your b/w gate shot today, I really like that kind of image and concept.

Katie
