White Admiral Butterfly

A classic woodland species (deciduous or mixed deciduous/conifer) in southern Britain providing that Honeysuckle, it's sole food plant is present. It is a priority species in the UK Biodiversity Action Plan.

This particular specimen was photographed in the Red Lodge Plantation near Royal Wootton Bassett using a K3-iii equipped with a Tamron SP AF 70–200 mm f/2.8 Di LD.
