It does indeed leap out but the surface tension gives the answer to the title question. Magnificent B&W !

Thanks Paul, will give the sensor a puff of air but to be honest I'm never sure now if the dust puppies are marks on my screen, lens, glasses or something else eg filter. I do try not to change lenses when I'm out and about which is why I got the 18-270mm. I'll have to look at this image again blown up on my larger monitor and "clean" it up.
