1. Locate the subject. :

2. Carry out concealed Observation of its behavior and area and times of activity (Hunting perching etc.
3. Ensure you are concealed - Ensure the source of incident lighting is at your back facing the bird's activity.
4. Ensure you do not expose equipment or attire that is bright or shiny;
5. Be Patient and hope you are LUCKY - cross your fingers and everything else AND PRAY
6. It might take hours but could take a few daily visits
7. It often doesn't happen - the dam bird bug***s off:

As a keen bird watcher and photographer this is something special and one I would be proud to enter into any competition.

Patience, skill or luck - it's a damn good photo.
