Coal train In Eastern Colorado

by Mojaveflyer

I headed east from Denver to do some shooting along the Union Pacific's "Kansas Pacific" line (known as the KP Line) and caught this eastbound coal load struggling up a hill on the roller coaster terrain in eastern Colorado, about 60 miles east of Denver. A cold front is advancing eastward and there is a steady cold wind out of the southeast that, combined with the ambient temperature, provides a wind chill below freezing. It was good to get back in the car after getting this shot!
