I like this shot of Samantha. It has the "correct" depth to it, making the whole shot more "three-dimensional". The fact that the background is well-focused doesn't detract from the subject because of it. Well done!!

Cheers Steven. She pops out becuase of her beautiful warm skin tone and the vibrant dress. Maybe it's a bit 'cold' - although we were in shade the sky was very blue! I was hoping for an overcast day to be honest

I first visited the location in this thread - http://www.pentaxuser.co.uk/forum/topic/salford-junction-25670/p-0

I think the reason why you think this is "cold" in appearance is due to the lack of red in the shot to give it "added warmth". That said - if you look closely, there are very subtle shades of red in this shot that, if you raised the colour temperature ever so slightly, this could be somewhat more "balanced". I'm of course referring to the brickwork (the walls and the pathway) and the grafitti too.

Just be careful not to either make Sam's skin-tones look like she's a "David Dickinson clone", or conversely, make her look whiter than Michael Jackson!! A subtle balance once you've done the brickwork is all it needs, I think.
