My K10D

by Peter Elgar

My 2007 bought K10D shown with a 35mm f2 Super-Takumar I got from an Old Gent some years ago with a 1960's SV and a 150mm f4 Super-Takumar -- I can use all my 'Old' Pentax lenses with the Screw-Bayonet adapter I got new for £ 5-00 in 1980 when I got my 'K' fit Pentaxes. It is VERY SHARP even at FULL APERTURE unlike a Later Version I had bought before with the 49mm filter size and sold.

There's many a good tune played on an old fiddle. Nice to see the old stuff out on parade. Have been tempted to get a screw adapter but not had the courage to put something strange on the camera. Have an old 50mm lens from a Zenit which makes a good paperweight

No fear, Stan.

If you get a good adapter, you can remove the little blue-steel clip and the adapter will not lock onto your camera body.

I'm presently using 7 older glass lenses of the M42 persuasion, and having so much fun!

There is so much quality in the older lenses, and good ol' Pentax is keeping the compatibility.

My favourite camera.

I have used M42 lenses in the past but all of mine were stolen and I haven't replaced them. They work fine.
Best wishes,

Andrew

I miss my GX10

I prefer the bigger grip to the K5, too much 'pinky hang'

I still use my K10 and some old lenses

Have been a bit busy with other things lately but will be snapping more often soon
K10D, K5 plus plenty of clueless enthusiasm.

Over the last couple of years I've been digging into my Pentax collection to re-activate one or two of them. Currently I have a Vivitar Series 1 35-85mm on an ME Super. However, this would certainly be a way to bring my K10 back to life.
