I love kites. All around my area here in Wales. I've seen good/bad photographs. This is definately on the good side. We have a local albino kite at Nant y Arian that I would love to capture. However, my photograph attempts are on the bad side So I appreciate how difficult it is to get a capture as good as this.

The light grey clouds (better viewed in large) act as beacons moving the eye to the kite. (didn't see any string though) thanks, tg
