Heading back south

After delivering the two express steam engines to Tyne Yard the diesel cut loose and Britannia set off south for London under its own steam. It came back through Durham a couple of hours later with just a support coach in tow.

Two good pics there David, Never seen Bittern in Blue so it would be nice if they would send her up this way a little more often!.

On 9th June we are lucky enough to have both Britannia`s double heading the THE MANCUNIAN (Euston-Manchester), didnt even see double headed Britannia`s in steam days! so a first for me.
