trying some very-macro-shooting and using macro extension + sigma 50mm f2,8 macro. These macro extensions are darker and I had to shoot with high iso even on sun light

I took some very close up ones with a 28mm and ext tubes yesterday with barely half an inch between the end of the lens and the subject. Also 800 ISO. The possible difference was a table-top tripod, a remote release and 15seconds exposure at f5.6. The results were bright as you please.

Both the *istDS and the K5 are incurably addicted to old glass

Really like this... particularly enjoy the graininess, and the imperfection of the blip on the leaf centre top right...
