that's a lovely shot and a regular perch by the look of the detail on the log - may enquire - what lens did you use?

Yes it was indeed a well-worn perch, chaffinches and these Goldies for the most part, the odd tit too.
/seems odd to stand right at the visitors centre and get these, more interesting to me than the ducks and geese...

Cracking Goldfinch rendition. Can't match the quality of that with my 150-500!
