Lavender Field
by swarf
One of the many fields of Lavender on the Plateau de Valensole in Provence. It was taken earlier this month and is a little early in the year for the fields to be out in their full glory, the end of July onwards would be better. Unfortunately the heat haze means that the background is fairly 'fuzzy'.

Giulio - thanks for the comment. I'm sure that you would love the scenery there, it would fit well with your style. If I were to go there again, I would go either much earlier, or much later, in the day to minimise the heat haze.

You're right. I imagine early in the morning what smart soft tones will give this scenery back due to low heat haze....even using a fast shutter speed to freeze heat rising.

Geometry VERY eye-catching. Depth exerts strong pull. Like.
