Thank you all for your generous appreciation.
I wasn't really expecting such a great response.

Kind regards

Well, you got one. Full marks for drama and composition.
Both the *istDS and the K5 are incurably addicted to old glass

Love it, what a great sky. Isn't that Flat Holm island out there in the Bristol Channel. I've enjoyed the times we've stayed in Clevedon, always fantastic light.

Thank you David, I'm pleased you like the image and Clevedon. It's well known for it's sunsets over South Wales, which we benefit from. The Island you can see is in fact Steep Holm, Flat Holm is further right, in the middle of the Channel.

The only snow we have seen is on the Brecon Beacons, so perhaps you need another visit to Clevedon.

Kind regards, Bob

Another comment...this is POTW in my mind. Reminiscent of a certain school of WWI painting. All that's missing is a dreadnought or two upon the waters. Just an excellent, excellent photo, with a remarkably timely capture of the reflections on the water.

WW1 was a bit before my time, so POTW is lost on me I'm afraid. I like the idea though, so I'll try and paste a dreadnought or two in for you.
Thanks again for your kind comments and interest.

Thanks for that Andy. I have never aspired to that high position, so I also don't know how it works.
I learn something new every day.

Dramatic shot. Wish I still had my Pentax Super now. Should not have let that one go.
Your photo is wonderfully moody. Without that break in the clouds, the day would have been a bust, I venture.
Think I am going to use that shot for my PC wallpaper, so I can enjoy it every day. (Text ought to contrast nicely.)
