Sunset

Yes, I know sunsets aren't always welcome, but the colours a couple of evenings ago were simply unbelievable. They don't look real in the capture, but they really were intense.

Colours this intense are certainly uncommon in Britain. Years ago I used to buy an American monthly called "Arizona Highways". It was published by the State highway agency and was full of Arizona sunsets: magnificent displays of colour (color!) seem to happen almost every evening out there.

This was in France, near to where I live. I haven't seen a sunset like that for a very long time - it was quite exceptional. It was a friend's birthday and it was if the sunset was a special present for her !!
