Very nice.
Did you manage to get that without a tripod...or did you sneak one in?

The smack dab center of focal point is the strength of this photo. Brilliantly captured, composed and viewed!
Top shelf!

Cheers...Donna 😊

Something to aim for, makes my shots look like fuzzy out of focus rubbish...

Well done! I didn't think they permitted photography inside St Paul's, let alone tripods. It was the same at Durham when I visited recently, which was a shame. At least Ely are more welcoming.

Most English cathedrals welcome photographers, particularly if they are willing to part with £3 or £5 for a photo permit to help towards maintenance costs, including Ely. SMarsden wrote:

At Durham they are strict. Photos by prior arrangement only or on special occasions where you pay a hefty fee to join a photography night after the visitors have all left.
My favourite is St Nicholas Cathedral in Newcastle where they don't charge you and make you and your Pentax feel welcome. Of course they encourage a donation towards the costs of upkeep for a priceless mediaeval architectural treasure.
The interior photograph of St Pauls is wonderful.

Ely don't charge for a photo permit for stills, although they do ask for £2 if you want to shoot video or use a tripod, which seems reasonable. Also, there's no entrance charge on a Sunday or before 9am or after 5pm, although of course they'd always appreciate a donation. I must go back soon!

Top notch, sorry I missed this earlier. Most images of the inside of churches don't get much attention on here, but this is so good it grabs you immediately.
