Hi Donna and thank you for your nice comment, yes its a fairly long lens but not one of the sharpest. I find that shooting in RAW allows me to crop heavily when required and still retain reasonable detail, much more than with JPEG's.

I suppose one of the reasons I've never attempted bird photography is because I don't have the required loooong lens, other than an ancient Vivitar 400mm! One day!

Thanks for the praise, Vie just looked at your Flickr album wow what a brilliant and very diverse range of photos. Have to take a longer closer look soon as they are stunning, I especially like the Severn bridge night shots.
