Cormorant

Time on my hands so playing again, panning birds in flight continuous focus, expanded area centre weighted. Using advice given by other users, without any lens or camera SR, f8 and 1/1000sec. Seems pretty good even at the max 500mm lens length. Some PSE sharpening but this photo was cropped quite a bit, so to be expected.

Thanks to all for the kind comments, I was just about to get in the car when this bird flew over. Re the bronze colour the underside was lit with low warm evening sun. I think that explains the strong bronze colour but like many black birds such as starlings look closely at them and they aren't true black.
