I visited my home town Stavanger last week. The weather was not so good, but luckily there was one day without rain, and with pretty good light. Jæren is a farming region south of Stavanger that is characterized by its flat landscape. In fact it has some resemblance to Skagen in Denmark, and has similarly been a popular place for landscape painters the last two centuries.
