House hunting

Photo Information
Nuthatch checks out of potential nesting hole in Kelsey Park, Beckenham. I was aiming to catch the bird posing by the hole, but it moved more quickly than I expected (probably because I was half-asleep). I was quite pleased with the result, although it owed more to luck than any sense of timing. Taken with K-5 IIs and Sigma 100-300 f4.

A good and natural result without any technical trick...simply using a camera and its lens at their best

The unposed ones are usually the best ones! And this is exceptionally nice.

All of the above! The background almost makes the bird look like it's orbiting a planet!
