I like this!
I could definitely see it used in various comercial ways e.g. as a fabric print, a wallpaper design etc.
A clever idea that is worth exploring.

Looking at it again, I think that it needs a little 'tidying', particularly the dark patch on the upper left edge of the frame, and the cloning out of a couple of the lighter twigs/fronds.
