Twelve and a half pence? - cheap as chips - and they were a penny a bag then!
Did you get your money back if the colours were wrong?
Both the *istDS and the K5 are incurably addicted to old glass

The average wage in the UK in the late thirties was approx. £105 per annum so it would have been an expensive item(s).
The associated photos in the album were taken around the late 30s but the advert could have been a short while later.
