Interesting idea, but I don't think it quite works because there is no comparison with the sharpness of the mirror-image (i.e. the non-reflected view).

Thank you for the comment - it was partly why I posted it to get thoughts on this approach. My guess is it might have helped if there had been even less ripple in the water!
