The Survivor

This cross bred duck survived being hit by a car, after limping for a few weeks is thank goodness again walking normally. Coming to our garden two or three times daily for food.

Every late winter early spring the same wild ducks visit us for food, they may from time to time bring and introduce new friends to us. They eat all our bird food and a bit of bread. They may rest a while in the garden or pop back once or twice during the day. If we go out they will be waiting for us when we get home just to top up on food before retiring elsewhere for the night. By June they usually stop coming probably because they have used the garden as a dating agency, paired up and gone off to raise their young.
