The new colors of Berlin

by AxelLuther

German cities often still have nice quarters called Altstadt with very old frame houses or at least big old city houses. In Berlin, they built many very new buildings in very modern, urban style (due to the 30 year lasting split of the city, many areas were not reconstructed after the war - so there was a lot of space available). The probably most amazing sample is the Sony Center. I am still not sure if I am impressed in a positive or negative way. There is a set of Buildings around a central place which is covered by a circus tent like roof construction (which is illuminated blue and pink – colors change every 10 seconds).
You can’t take silent or simple pictures there – if you are a fan of smooth colors and natural, simple shapes – you better don’t go there ……
I was lucky to be there at an evening where obviously most people decided not to go to the Sony Center – it is normally far more busy.

Love the colours in this. I don't know what lens or focal length you used for this image, but i would like to see more of that great roof.

Old issue - that I loose most Exif data in the HDR processing - it is the Sigma 8-16mm and I have done this picture with 8mm....
and I promise, you get more pictures from the roof - I just wanted to start with the base
