I like the low angle which shows the shiny wet sand and reflections to good effect. A little more contrast in this area would bring the reflections out even more. The sky is also very nice.

Nice sky and wet sand. Maybe cropping the tiny detail from the left side out will be better.

Yes I agree, others have given me the same advice.

Thanks, Sophia.

Sophia, I won't comment on this shot as I've already done so on the Forum, but I will say that it's a great idea to get into the habit of posting pictures in the Gallery. You often manage to attract the attention of a different group of people and you have the added benefit of being able to easily see how you've progressed through the Portfolio button.

The standard of pictures here is also (in my opinion) very high and from photographers all over the world! A great way to get your stuff out there!
Best wishes,

Andrew

Thankyou for your comments Andrew, they help a lot. I only just joined this website today so I am still getting used to my way around it. In the gallery you can only upload one photo a day?

Yes you can unless you subscribe to the magazine which no longer exists...I know, I know. Just don't ask!

In fact I think it's quite good to have to choose just one shot a day but make sure, if you can, you do this, Sophia. It's good discipline because you don't want a load of rubbish on show so you work at it. People often comment, if they don't, then the shot is probably pants!
Best wishes,

Andrew

Hi Sophs - I fully agree with Andrew - I started to post pictures in the fotocommunity.de a year ago and since then developped faster then all the years before - I now alos post here because it is a different "behaviour" in this community and I love to get many different feedback styles as this shows how diverse people from all over the world see your work.
Your image is great and pictures like this create the wish to see more of your work - you already touched my week spot - I LOVE colors, clouds and perspective
