The Barrier
by SMarsden
This is a 2 Shot Long exposure HDR, using the Lee BigStopper. First was a standard calibration, the second was N-1.7 to ensure highlight detail. The 2 images were (after minor corrections in LR5) stacked as layers in PSCS6 the darker exposure on top with reduced opacity to 60%. The images was flattened, then tonemapped in photomatix, clarity and contrast was manipulated in Topaz Clarity, minor detail extraction was done in Topaz detail, some simplifying effects were masked in using Topaz Simplify. Black and white conversions were done using B&W conversion and the Chanel mixer then LAB mode in PSCS6. Minor structure was then added using Nik Vivezza 2. Then the image was returned to Lightroom 5 for some light sharpening, and colour toning using Tone Curves
