Thank you for your comments. For candlelight I use one exposure for the flame and top of the candle, around 2.8 to 4, and 30 to 125 shutter. The second exposure is for the whole group, depth of field is important so maybe F16 to F18, low ISO (80 - 100) with a little added diffused light from the direction of the candle. I may paint in a little light in very blocked in areas of shadow plus a large reflector on the opposite side for subtle general fill in areas. It obviously varies according to the arrangement, type of candle etc. The whole blended together in CS6. Hope that makes sense, it's late and the end of my birthday!!!
