You appear to have a good copy of a very useful lens. Its big brother, the 55 - 300 goes well with a K5 too.

Both the *istDS and the K5 are incurably addicted to old glass

That combination will serve you well for a fair proportion of the photographs you will want to take. The test looks promising.
