Congratulations and thank you to all participants!
A great diversity of images and my choice was not easy.
I chose Michael Holland's photo (MHOL190246) because it perfectly represents the "backlight" theme.
A natural rear lighting and a nice luminosity which brings out all the details of the contours of these pretty Teasels on a background of a very beautiful subtly colored bokeh.

Congratulations MHol - well-deserved. I too would be interested in some feedback for the other entries along with a second and third place, which are usually provided.

Désolé, le temps m' a manqué pour répondre .
Voici le classement:
1) Michael Holland (MHOL190246)
2) Noelcmn presque a égalité avec Michael pour la jolie transparence sur la fleur mais j' aurais aimé plus de netteté sur l' ensemble de la rose.
3) Nigelk avec " Poppy " , l' idée du contre - jour est très bien respectée, cependant le fond noir crée une ambiance artificielle, peu naturelle qui enlève du charme à la photo.
sueriley , ici on est plus dans la transparence que le contre-jour malgré le léger vignetage de l' image.
jofford , très joli paysage. La lumière perçant au travers des nuages éclaire la scène plutôt que créer vraiment un conte - jour .
drofmit , J' aime bien l' idée cependant l' éclairage de face donne un effet contraire, non ?
davidwozhere , comme pour l' image de Nigelk , le fond noir c' est un peu " dur ".
johnriley , comme j' aimerais visiter cet endroit ! L' usage du HDR a malheureusement enlevé l' idée du contre - jour en apportant trop l' éclairage sur l' avant plan
La notion de contre - jour est très subjective et chaque photographe en a une idée personnelle, ce qui fait justement l' originalité de vos photos.

Here is the ranking:
1) Michel Hollande (MHOL190246)
2) Noelcmn almost tied with Michael for the pretty transparency on the flower but I would have liked more sharpness on the whole of the rose.
3) Nigelk with "Poppy", the idea of the backlight is very well respected, however the black background creates an artificial, unnatural atmosphere which detracts from the charm of the photo.
sueriley, here we are more in transparency than the backlight despite the slight vignetting of the image.
jofford, very nice landscape. The light piercing through the clouds rather illuminates the scene than really creating a tale.
drofmit , I like the idea, however the front lighting gives the opposite effect, right?
davidwozhere, as for Nigelk's image, the black background is a bit "hard".
johnriley, how i would love to visit this place! The use of HDR has unfortunately eliminated the idea of backlighting by bringing too much lighting to the foreground
The concept of backlighting is very subjective and each photographer has a personal idea, which is precisely what makes your photos original.

Une grande diversité d' images et mon choix n' a pas été facile.
J' ai choisi la photo de Michael Holland (MHOL190246) car elle représenta parfaitement le thème " contre - jour "
Un éclairage arrière naturel et une jolie luminosité qui font ressortir tous les détails des contours de ces jolie Cardères sur fond d' un très beau bokeh subtilement coloré.
