Note that two of its 3 "ocelli" are visible. These single-lens eyes help bee to orient to the sun so as to navigate better. In some species, they aid in night navigation.

Yes, you really are getting to grips with this macro thing. Vast expanses of glass to tiny tiny things. Great stuff.
Both the *istDS and the K5 are incurably addicted to old glass
