Surging!

by davidstorm

Several days of incessant rain in the Lake District has produced surging torrents of water where normally there would be streams. This one is rushing down the Borrowdale Valley towards Seathwaite, which is officially the 'wettest place in England'.

This one has taken some processing because, try as I might, I could not keep spray and rain off the filter that was attached to the lens, despite constantly wiping it. The net result was tiny water droplets all over the image which I have had to clone out as best I can.

Great moody energy in this. The low clouds, the soaring arete, the mountain streams, the mid-stream boulder garden all add visual punctuation marks. Bravo!
