Stanier 8F

The camera hasn't been out of the bag for a good while now, so this mornings steam special gave me good reason to dig it out and dust the cobwebs off!. The loco is Black 8 48151 hauling 'The Roses Express' from Southport to York and is seen here passing through Burscough.

I had hoped to go to York to photograph this train Cliff but couldn't make it. Your's is a good graphic image and somehow it looks bleak and cold out there.
