At St. Mary's Church, Ware. This is a statue to the Maltsters of ware.
Ware used to be the barley malting centre for English brewers.
Made & fitted by the 'Knitting Ninja's' for the Heart foundation charity.

When I was at school at the Angel, Islington, near to New River Head, we joked "Where is the start of the New River ?"

I expect only you and I will see the humour of that question ?

The school Governors were the Worshipful Company of Brewers so I guess there is a connection with the Maltsters of Ware ?

Meanwhile, another nice shot spotted by you

Bets wishes
Peter
