Thank you Spad,
No filter used, this image is towards the end of the dawn colour splash so I have plenty with stronger colour but, all in landscape, it wasn't until close to the end of the colour phase that I thought to swivel the camera into portrait. I do rather like the subtle hues and tones though.

I'd try some Graduated ND filters if you like taking these kinda photos. Reverse Grads are also good for it to, as I recently found out.
I recent got some X Pro filter kit.. it's like slapping a dinner plate on the end of your lens!!

No comment of a technical nature from me, just: darn lovely pastel world you have captured here, and the diagonal plays a role directing your eye seaward. Like.

Did you use a filter??? A graduated ND filter would brought the sky out even more!
