Silver Oak

by davidstorm

One for Andrew C - these are the oak gates which prevent entry to the Gatehouse of the c11th Norman Castle at Tickhill in South Yorkshire. The gates themselves are not ancient, although made in the original style.

Nice use of DOF. Good subject for BW. Best large again.

I was drawn to this one straight away, David. I do love the effect time and the elements have on old oak. Nice shallow depth of field as well, which I also like!
Best wishes,

Andrew
