Yes it was, John. I don't know whether it was the excellent light or the fact that I'd set up the camera's shake reduction correctly for the first time (don't ask just don't ask) but the lens seems quite sharp. I also used the close-up lens that was attached and was pleasantly surprised by the quality (I always thought they were rubbish!)
