Shaggy Sheep

One of the sheep used to manage local nature reserves. Notice the Pirri Pirri burr stuck to its coat, Pirri Pirri is an invasive species brought in from Australia and New Zealand by airmen during WWII. Here at the Old Airfield Woodhall Spa they are unlikely ever to eradicated Pirri Pirri due to the spread of the sticky burrs by man, birds and animals.
