Serious Patriotism!

This chap was sat right in front of my during the first morning of the athletics at London 2012. He told me it took 4 hours to do his face painting. I was in awe of the result.... he is my hero!

Very good. I can see why you colour popped this one, it isn't so effective in some of the others.

That's a terrific environmental portrait. I think it would be even better without the colour popping.

Good shot, the colour popping really adds to the subject. This is the most striking of the series imo. I'd even go as far as to say it could be a worth entering in competitions.
The composition is good too, the background rails drawing the eyes to the left which unusual.

All - Thanks for all the comments on this and others in the series. The colour popping has certainly sparked some interesting comments. I hadn't originally intended to do this but thought it would make a good sub-section to a commemorative photo book I'm preparing based on my photos of London 2012.
I will add a few more 'conventional' shots soon.
