Break in the Clouds
The shot I use as my Avatar. Got caught in a snowstorm on Winchelsea Beach for a couple of hours. Proper horizontal blizzard. Just before sunset, there was a break literally of 5 minutes, and I took this.

Different from the conventional lead in. The posts seem to open the image, like the pages of a book. Works well I think.

The composition is very unusual with the lead-in going to the left, but it works. I think this is due to the rocks in the middle distance that draw the eye into the image. The overall effect is fabulous, this is an image I would be very proud of had I taken it and it deserves to be printed large and displayed on a wall.
