That's quite nice, Andrew! I presume that the plant is a clematis, isn't it?

Thanks, Nezih. Yes it is, one of the small flowered varieties. I was drawn to the contrast between the flowers, tgheir lovely fresh foliage and the dry old door.
Best wishes,

Andrew

I've been making silly mistakes these days, maybe either bec. of the heath or the old age. I wrote that without looking at the title. Hard to grow them here. I managed to have one surviving after wilting several others.

Yes,that's what makes the photo meaningful as well as beautiful!

A personal comment. I would have preferred more door, less clemetis. The grain and colour of the wood, for me, is the main interest. Just a little bit of red flowers would have made for a better contrast.
Still, it was well spotted and your choice, of course.

That's a most interesting comment, Thoramay. I originally thought the same, then cropped the right hand side very heavily thinking this made it better balanced!
Best wishes,

Andrew

Did we all guess who the photographer was when we saw the thumbnail? Nice one again Andrew.

Thanks everyone, and to think I'd disguised the shot by including those flowers, Paul!
Best wishes,

Andrew
