Victorian engineering

by davidtrout

I've chosen Bits and Pieces for the subject of this week's competition, turning the spotlight not on complete items but on specific small details. This image shows a detail of one of the huge driving wheels on the 1840s London and North Western Railway's locomotive 'Cornwall' which had a long working life, being heavily rebuilt over the years. This was taken at Locomotion, the National Railway Museum's Shildon centre where it is kept.

It's a cracker!
Both the *istDS and the K5 are incurably addicted to old glass
