Lovely light and colours Andrew! The black slates with fern and some moss; these inevitably reminded me of coal and fossils of ferns found between the layers of such slates. Shadows too, of course, and they add much to the overall effect.

Thanks Nezih. I hadn't thought of the connection between the slate and how it was originally formed, but, of course, you're right.

I took a whole series based on this section of wakk. Of course, the light was perfect and there was so much growth. It rains a lot in Wales!
Best wishes,

Andrew

How many of us could make such an ordinary lump of rock look so interesting?
Thats the talent.

I always sharpen my photos before uploading to PU as they seem to lose sharpness during the uploading process, and it's the sharpness that really makes this shot stand out, for me.

As is seen here sometimes much light can produce better results, Andrew! You know, Pentax cameras usually give darker results, and I think as you mentioned needs adjustment. But K7 is better at that,I mean, exposure metering, and there are some extra practical features, like another button for iso, faces are depicted more naturally. Light is so great here!

Nezih
