Taking a shot of a mural, no matter how interesting the mural, is, according to my wife, dirty pool, showing zero skill and imagination. So be it.

That's a debatable point since most of the artistry belongs to the painter. On the other hand, any number of photographs could fail to show its full glory (unlike this one). Also, when the paint weathers and peels, the photograph is the only record left of it.
