I love Ullapool! I was always fascinated by the town's local radio station which used to be housed in a tin shack. It has upgraded considerably since those days.
Could white balance be the problem? Personally, I always leave the camera on 'auto' and then adjust it during post processing, if required.

It was a RAW image and a dullish day so I have enhanced it a bit, probably over did it but the original was almost too blue to be believed.
