Excuse my ignorance ,is this image 96 individual shots stacked on each other.....

Very nice by the way ,i'm curious as to what the dotted line is running left to right in the bottom left 3rd of the image ,a shooting star maybe ?

Hi, yes this was 96 individual exposures stacked to create the trails. The dotted lines running in alternate directions to the stars are aircraft which detract from the stars, I have since found other settings which do remove these from the final image!

I agree, very nicely done. The photo would have been even better without the aeroplane trails, these are difficult to clone out. One alternative is to do star trails late at night, when there is less airtraffic.
